Prioritizing access to justice for all children in Europe and beyond

On 3 June, the European Parliament Intergroup on Children’s Rights, the EU Agency for Human Rights (FRA) and UNICEF will organise an event on children’s access to justice in the European Union.

The event will focus on what we know about children in contact with justice systems in Member States, how children experience it, and what has been tried and what works in supporting children in claiming their rights. Prior to the debate with representatives of EU institutions and Member States, FRA will introduce its report Child-friendly justice – perspectives and experiences of professionals.

The debate will be chaired by Caterina Chinnici, Co-Chair of the Intergroup on Children’s Rights, and Nathalie Griesbeck, Member of the European Parliament and Vice-Chair Intergroup on Children’s Rights will present the closing remarks.
